Rules & Regulations
Hyderabad Institute of Medical & Allied Sciences (HIMAS) maintains
high standards of academic integrity, discipline, professionalism,
and ethical conduct. Every student is required to comply with the
institutional policies and regulations.
1. Attendance & Examination Policy
- Minimum 85% attendance is mandatory for eligibility to appear in semester examinations.
- Students failing to maintain the required attendance will not have their examination forms forwarded to LUMHS.
- All institutional dues must be cleared before appearing in examinations.
- Internal assessment is based on Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT), Mid-Term examinations, and academic performance.
2. Conduct & Discipline
- Unauthorized use of the Hyderabad Institute of Medical & Allied Sciences (HIMAS) name or logo is prohibited.
- Harassment, intimidation, or misconduct towards any member of the institute community is strictly prohibited.
- Students must maintain punctuality and attend classes on time.
- Improper or inappropriate dressing is not permitted within the institute premises.
- Horseplay, skylarking, or disruptive behaviour in cafeterias and common areas is prohibited.
- Students must clear all institutional bills and dues on time.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited within the institute premises.
3. Academic Integrity
- Students are expected to maintain honesty and integrity in all academic activities.
- Any form of cheating, misconduct, or violation of institutional rules may result in disciplinary action.
- The Student Discipline Committee is authorized to monitor and enforce institutional standards.
4. Professional Standards
- Students must demonstrate professionalism during academic and clinical activities.
- Respect for faculty, staff, patients, and fellow students is mandatory.
- Students are expected to uphold the reputation and values of HIMAS at all times.
